If you’ve read our about us page you’ll know that we love to incorporate our Mexican culture into our crafts boxes. Mexico is full of colour everywhere, from decorations in the street such as paper bunting to the colourful flowery patterns displayed on traditional clothes. Here you will find a range of four authentic Mexican crafts that we love and hope you’ll enjoy too.

You can start by making five of your very own paper flowers from tissue paper and open them up to see your beautiful, colourful flowers taking shape! 

Next, you can make your traditional God's Eye made of out yarn. Perfect to test your coordination skills. You'll have two colours which you can swap between as many times as you like as you build up your God's Eye to give it your own style.

Then you can move on to scratch away at your Day of the Dead theme scratch art shape. The Day of the Dead is a beautiful, vibrant celebration and this scratch art is no different! Scratch, scratch, scratch to reveal the shiny colours below and decorate your sugar skull!

Last but not least you'll design your own colourful Paper Bunting. Remember we said Mexico is very colourful and every party and celebration including Day of the Dead will have paper bunting, traditionally known as "Papel picado" hanging in rows down the street. It is traditionally made from tissue paper to give it that flowy ripple in the wind.

So get crafting and decorate your house Mexican style. The perfect box for a crafty afternoon or spread out over a few sessions, or even as a fun, creative gift for a little loved one.
